Did you know that in the Bible’s Old Testament God promised to destroy death, and the New Testament Tells us how He did it?

Did you also know that the Bible calls death the “wages” (Romans 6:23)? In other words, your sins have earned you the death penalty. Your death will be evidence that God is deadly serious about sin.

Another question: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Have you lied, stolen, used God’s name in vain, or lusted (which Jesus said was adultery, Matt. 5:28)? If so, God sees you as a liar, thief, blasphemer, and adulterer at heart. If you die in your sins, you will end up in a terrible place called Hell.

But there’s good news. Though we broke God’s Law, Jesus paid the fine by dying on the cross. Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Scripture tells us, “Jesus Christ… has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (2 Tim 1:10). Jesus Christ is the cure to death!
